World Championship 2025

Dear Sports Enthusiasts, Ladies, and Gentlemen,

It is my great privilege to invite all passionate supporters of our sport to the ICF Wildwater Canoeing Sprint World Championships, set to take place from September 19th to 21st, 2025, in České Budějovice.

On behalf of the Czech Canoe Union, I would like to express our gratitude to the International Canoe Federation for entrusting us with the honour of hosting this prestigious event. The technical preparations and race organization have been assigned to TJ Synthesia Pardubice, a team recognized for its expertise in organizing wildwater competitions. Since 2007, when they organized the first Wildwater Canoeing Sprint National Championships on this artificial course, the team has demonstrated exceptional organizational skills in numerous competitions.

The Lída Polesná arena, where the event will take place, has recently undergone extensive reconstruction. Thanks to these improvements, the artificial slalom course now fully meets the standards for hosting major international competitions
The Czech Canoe Union takes pride in its strong legacy of organizing world-class wildwater events. Some of the key events include the ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Championships in 2006 in Karlovy Vary, the Junior European Championship in 2003, and World Cups held annually from 2003 to 2008. More recently, we successfully hosted the Junior and U23 World Championships in Roudnice nad Labem, followed by the World Cup in 2023 in České Budějovice. I am confident that the upcoming World Championships will build upon this tradition, showcasing our continued commitment to the sport on the international level.

Beyond the thrill of elite competition, I believe the 2025 World Championships will provide athletes with the chance to forge unforgettable memories, gain invaluable experience, and explore one of the most enchanting regions in the Czech Republic.

Allow me to extend my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated team of enthusiasts and volunteers whose tireless efforts make an event of this scale possible. I am equally grateful to the sponsors who have generously supported this event, each playing a vital role in its realization.

I eagerly await the opportunity to welcome you all to České Budějovice and the Lída Polesná whitewater area for what promises to be an extraordinary celebration of our sport.
